Connecticut’s Community Colleges Meeting Student and State Needs Courses of study may lead to associate degrees, certificates, or to the acquisition of career or personal skills. In addition to the traditional degree programs offered by the colleges, non-credit courses, seminars, workshops and cultural activities are also offered as part of the Community Colleges' extensive continuing education and community service offerings. The Community Colleges also offer customized training and education programs to meet the needs of Connecticut businesses and industries. As the workplace and workers change, continuing education is a means for both businesses and workers to maintain currency, keep pace with advancing technology, and compete in the global marketplace. Continuing education provides a competitive advantage for both employers and employees through improved skills and increased productivity. |
