How Much Time Should I Spend Looking for a Job?
Finding a job is like having a job!
If you are in school
- Look 5 days a week
- Look 3 hours a day minimum
- Look during business hours
If you are not in school?
- Look 5 days a week
- Look 5 hours a day minimum
- Look during business hours
- Plan to be finished before 5 p.m.
Schedule out the time and make an appointment with yourself to look for a job!
Listed below are daily job search responsibilities:
- Locate 5 to 10 job opportunities per day
The more job opportunities you find, the more likely you will be able to find a job!
Online or in-person, then follow-up with a MANAGER
- Research the companies that are hiring or you would be interested in working for

- Submit resumes and cover letters to employers
- Talk to MANAGERS about the job opportunities you have found
